Police Volunteers Award

Congratulations to our Chair Amanda Cawthorn for receiving an award last night at Bedfordshire Police’s Citizens in Policing Volunteers Appreciation Evening. Amanda was presented with her award by Chief of Staff, Clare Kelly on behalf of Kathryn Holloway Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner. The award recognised her dedication and innovation for the work across a multitude of different watch schemes and the developing a successful template for partnership working to help promote safer community as well as engaging new volunteers to become involved in helping make Bedfordshire a safer place to live and work. Her work has enabled Bedfordshire Police to engage more closely with communities and to develop lasting partnership. Also her diligence has enabled Bedfordshire Police to work strategically as well as at grass roots level showing that they are able to influence future policing initiatives.
